This lesson is from the eighteenth chapter of Leviticus, verses 6 - 24. Obedience to the law found in the word of God would make this nation a better place to live. Religion tells us grace frees us from the law, so God forgives murder, theft, and adultery; but grace doesn’t free us from tithing. This doesn’t make sense. We can’t straddle the fence. Either follow all of God’s word or none of it. The word of God should be followed and not policed. You cannot look at a stranger and tell they had sex. We should police ourselves. Everyone has a flaw in their genetics. This is why we shouldn’t have sex with close relatives.. The Canaanites that were replaced by the children of Jacob were having sex with livestock. That is why God said kill everything that breathes. God is specific about behavior that is bad for us. If God says we shouldn’t do it, then the outcome will be bad if we do it. Will God punish us, damn us to hell, or people not let us teach if we do these things? No. God doesn’t punish like we do. We choose our own destruction when we sin. Sin has consequences.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life’ For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved’
John 3:16 & 17
In this age of the false accuser if you haven’t done anything they will lie and say you did.
We will now cover Leviticus 18:6 - 24.
Verse 6 - 18
It is bad to have sex with immediate family members. Cousins are not immediate family members. Grandparents. Parents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles are. Family is the backbone of society. In-laws should not have sex. The most healthy environment in which to raise a child is with the couple that made the child. Satan is behind all the what if questions in your mind. There are people you should never have sex with. Sex with in-laws is just nasty. You should not approach the sibling of your mate while the mate is still alive.
Verse 19
Having sex with a woman on her period is just nasty. So we shouldn’t do it.
Verse 29
Sleeping with your neighbors wife is forbidden in the 10 commandments. It is better to have your own wife than somebody else’s. If they will cheat with you, they will cheat on you.
Verse 21
Abortion is wrong. The time to concern yourself with having a child is before you have sex. The worship of Molech involved child sacrifice. Three times in Jeremiah, God says this never came into His mind. He had never thought of it.
Verse 22 - 24
Homosexuality and bestiality are perverse. Having sex with the wrong person is nasty. We are one nation under God. We should do what He says.
