You must be a born again christian of the Pentecostal persuasion as am I. Some of those same questions still haunt Christendom today and that is at what point did God say that the miracles were done for and where do you find it in the Bible. Christianity is missing a tremendous ministry today and will continue to do so until they accept all of Gods teachings and put them into practice.

Actually, I am a Baptist. I do not believe in Many if not most of the Charismatic T.V. preachers. The commercialism and theatrics are not scriptural IMHO. I believe "with God, nothing shall be impossible." I believe what this preacher is saying is that the gospel is the most important message. Not the preaching of prosperity, healing, or happiness and success; but rather, the sovereignty of The Lord Jesus. I liked his reading of
Luke. when Jesus challenged the large crowd with the words If any man does not hate Mother and Father etc.

We know this, He didn't mean a literal hate, He was talking about setting priorities in the right order. I especially like his statement about (my words) mega-churches doing anything to build and hold crowds or numbers. Jesus lost His crowd when He described what serving Him really meant; "Dying to self." The gospel of repentance has been exchanged for a feel-good happy, healthy, and wealthy message that does nothing to save souls because of what Jesus did in His birth, life, death, and resurrection. To really make not only America but the world great is the preaching of the gospel which is the power of God to salvation.

I don't mean to come off holier than thou, I am just a sinner saved by grace. An uneducated country boy; (74). Thank God He is not finished with me because I have many rough edges. However, There is a massive lack of true Godliness. Judgement must begin with us who have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit. we need to stop using Him and submit to Him using us.

I am also 74 years young. I have been brought up Lutheran Missouri Synod and after high school I basically stopped going to church. After I got married to my wife who was a Mormon at the time I started going again and at her insistence I even attended a Mormon church. She wanted to go to a state meeting of Mormons and begged me to go. After the so called missionary from BYU finished his little speech about how the latest revelation was that unless you had have at least four generations traced back in your ancestry that you couldn't enter into the top level of heaven is when I finally blurted out bullshit man is saved by faith alone and not of works lest any man should boast. Needless to say my wife was very upset with me and we had a long talk when we got home. We then started going to the Christian Church where her father attended. After some time during which a close friend of my wife and mine decided that we wanted to become baptized and did. It was some time after that that my wife and I started going to a First Ass't. of God church and we became members there. We also became members of a Baptist Church where her mother attended as her younger brother tried to fight a brain tumor and lost. Right now I have trouble with breathing do to years of smoking and usually watch a Pentecostal service that is aired in our local TV stations here.

I by no means have a right to judge anyone or any denomination unless there is an open violation of scripture. Even then, my only "Christian privilege is to discern the spirits." The main ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus. Our privilege of being Spirit-filled is to follow the best we can His leadership in our lives. The Bible says, where the Spirit is there is peace. The indicators I look for in myself, other Christians, and a church or denomination is Gal. 5:22-23. May God Bless you. Glad you didn't get caught up with the Mormons.

Heartbreaking!

One beautiful baby saved from being torn apart in the womb, and thirty more through one man's efforts,

but millions upon millions of those precious tiny lives, legally, cruelly and savagely destroyed.

We may be the best country on earth...

but, how much better we could have been, and used to be,

and what does that say about the rest of the world?
