Unbeknownst to the liberals, (progressives, anarchists, Marxists, communists) all those statues they so hate and revile, considering them to be horrible racist, are actually Democrats. In their ignorance the majority of Democrats don't have a clue that it was exclusively the Democrats who were the slaveholders and who fought against the freeing of the slaves. The Republican party was started for the express purpose of freeing the slaves and Abraham Lincoln was the 1st Republican president. Our leftist/globalist shadow governments has tried to hide that fact by eliminating Lincoln's birthday as well as George Washington's as a holiday and combine them into the general term of 'Presidents Day'. A couple other facts most Democrats don't know is that Martin Luther King as well as Abraham Lincoln were registered Republicans and the KKK was started and filled by Democrats and was in fact the enforcement arm for the Democratic Party.

The Democrats have always been the godless, who are against righteousness in all its forms. But they sure do know how to present themselves as, not only enlightened but better, finer, more caring and noble. The truth be known that striving to help the poor minorities, is just a means to have them feel good about themselves by having government provide the charity that they should be doing themselves. They don't recognize this, nor, social justice, economic justice, political correctness and even environmentalism as being the Marxist propaganda that is molding their minds and manipulating their opinions. They are indeed bright shining examples of the effectiveness of Marxist propaganda and how otherwise good people can be so easily suckered, made to become deluded, malcontented and hateful and intolerant of everything good, moral and decent while considering themselves to have the moral high ground. And they also know how to make people feel oppressed, view themselves as victims, rob them of their hope and incentive in order to obtain that democratic vote.

Nah....it's more than that. Americans tear down historical venues all the time. That's why no city looks like it did when originally built. This is a history you want to keep is what you meant to say. And large segment of the American people find that history offensive.

Since, as pointed out, the slave owners were Democrats, and Republicans were the liberators, I find it curious that the Republicans now want to keep these reprehensible symbols and Democrats want to tear them down and put them is museums...where history belongs.

Unlike you, we don't try to change culture and history like the left always does to suit themselves to enhance their image and assist in obtaining their goal of the destruction of America by tearing down the moral fabric that is the foundation of America in order to make Marxist revolution seemed desirable and even necessary. For instance, we used to call a homeless person of bum, --- a word that correctly had connotations of degeneracy. But the liberals have succeeded in hiding the moral depravity responsible for that situation by instead changing the word to homeless in order to elicit sympathy for the degenerate responsible for his own situation.
We don't believe America should hide the negative elements of its past. We know it was wrong, but we also know that slavery was inherited from the English who used it to make their colonies more productive while keeping costs down. We also know that slavery has existed in most every country in the world throughout the centuries, and We Were the 1st to Eliminate it, no thanks whatsoever for the Democrats. (in fact 660,000 had died in your efforts to retain it)
