The weekend of racial unrest in St. Louis after agitators exploited the acquittal of a former cop in the 2011 killing of a black man was a bit more subdued on Monday night as the protests/riots entered day four.

Following Sunday’s reassertion of authority by law enforcement that resulted in over one hundred arrests and sent a message to the troublemakers when the cops reportedly chanted “Whose streets? Our streets” many on the left are outraged over the conduct and tactics of the police.

With the left, it’s never out of line when angry black thugs throw bricks at cops and spray them with chemical substances. Nor is it a problem when a mob marches on the mayor’s home and starts breaking windows or destroys property and engages in looting. Those are just the God-given rights of an oppressed minority trapped under the thumb of a system run by their white overlords who never stop turning the screws – at least that’s what the defenders of such thuggery insist.

But when the authorities begin to throw the rabble-rousers and anarchists into jail where they belong…. well that just can’t be tolerated, can it?

Complaints about the alleged chanting by police has already resulted in an investigation being conducted by the department and activists are also bitching about the tactics used to quell the unrest.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch “As arrests are made, protesters question the tactics used by St. Louis police”:

Police used a technique called kettling on Sunday night to box in about 100 people at a busy downtown intersection and arrest them for failing to disperse.

It’s a tactic used to corral a group of people who fail to follow police orders. St. Louis police took the action after several windows were broken and concrete planters and trash cans overturned.

But some of those caught in the box made by rows of officers said police overstepped their bounds, using excessive force and chemical spray on people who were not protesting, including residents trying to get home and members of the media. As police closed in from all sides, they struck their batons in unison on the pavement, in a cadence march.

Tony Rice, an activist who goes by Search4Swag on Twitter, said he was shocked by the police behavior.

“It was the most brutal arrest I’ve ever experienced in my life,” Rice said. “I thought I was going to die.”

He said he could not lie prone on the ground, as ordered, because he had his bike with him.

Rice said his neck was being pressed against part of his bike, and he told the officers: “I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe.”

Those bused to the jail seemed confused by what was happening, Rice said. Pedestrians were arrested along with legal observers, protesters, a freelance photographer and a doctor, he said.

Pay no attention to the concept that people shouldn’t be out mingling with animals during a riot lest they risk being swept up along with them.

It would seem that both the attitude and the techniques used to make the arrests were effective in that there were far fewer problems with violence on Monday night.

The greatest fear of the leftist scum that has been allowed to run amok is that the handcuffs will finally be removed from law enforcement so that they can do their jobs and maintain order.

Chalk one up for the good guys who threw mud in the eyes of the cop haters.

I knew once the tables are turned and force is used back at these idiots they would whine and cry. God it must be embarrassing to be a liberal.

This jumped out at me for some reason. How many times has this nutjob been arrested? And for what?
I'm glad to see police somewhere freed up to do their jobs.
I read somewhere today that their Governor is a Navy Seal, and turned the cops loose on these punks. GOOD!

In Missouri, they only take crap so long. Then they say enough is enough. Not like here in the Pacific NW, where the enemy of the people are coddled by the government, and police are ham stringed.

It is pathetic, they put up with that Bundy scum for weeks when they should have raced into that wildlife preserve in APCs with guns blazing.

It is pathetic how you always support government tyranny. Government over reach is never a good thing. Maybe that is ONE reason why democrats are bad.

Government over reach such as police shootings of unarmed black people? I guess you can't get much more tyrannical than that.

Always been curious why snowflakes such as kevy get bent out of shape when criminal blacks get blown away but never a word about the innocent black child shot in the ghetto in a cross fire. Must care more about political points than the kids. What a loser.
