Be careful where you tithe

The 10th verse of 2nd Johns says we should not even speak to a person who doesn’t bring this gospel.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
2 John verse 10 & 11
Churches that don’t teach the bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse are bold enough to demand a tithe for the nonsense they teach. If they are not teaching the bible, the bible says you should not even speak to them. God categorizes you with them if you even speak to them, if you give them any encouragement. If you are tithing to a church that doesn’t teach God’s word chapter by chapter and verse by verse, God will not be glad to see you upon His return. You will be part of the many who try to get Jesus to accept their deceived minds and flawed logic.

Good morning Fred, 2 John 10 & 11 is a warning against being deceived by anyone teaching a false gospel or supporting that person in any way. This has nothing to do with teaching the Bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse. Churches do not demand tithing, it is done voluntarily. No where in the Bible does it teach that God will not be glad to see us upon his return or that we will be part of the many who try to get Jesus to accept our deceived minds and flawed logic if we are a member of a church that doesn't teach the Bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse. It is the responsibility of each of us to study and learn what the Bible teaches.

Good morning, Am I to assume that you are that you are calling anyone a false prophet if they don't teach the Bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse? Matthew 7:21-23 doesn't back that up. I agree that the Bible is best taught that way but we have to be very careful when it comes to judging those that we know very little about. Luke 6:37-42

Fred, Why do you create a thread? It's apparent that you do not want to discuss it or even defend your interpretation of the scripture that you list. Throwing a scripture at someone is useless.

The bible is the word of God. Your opinion doesn't matter.

In verse :9 abideth not mean "to live in", how do we live in Gods Word, we continue out of the milk of the Word and get to the meat of His promises, the devil is very sly and has an army of useful "saints" that don't study "precept by precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little, Isa 28:9-13. 5 of 7 church's are dead according to Christ, because the don't study all of Gods Word, those teacher will tell the congregation just the basic and they will be satisfied with it- (a little here and there). God has many "if" and "ands" so there are many conditions to follow according to God, Christ said I have not come to change the law but to fulfill it. He changes not one jot or tiddle.

In my opening sentence the "Not" shouldn't be in there, my mistake. Hope that didn't confuse anyone.
