A Social Worker, recently transferred to the mountains of West Virginia, was on her first tour of her new territory, when she came upon the tiniest cabin she had ever seen.
Intrigued, she knocked on the door"Any one home"she asked.
"Yep"came a kid's voice from inside."Is your father there"the worker asked.
"Pa,No ma'am,he left before Ma came in"the boy answered.
"Then let me speak to her"replied the worker.
"No Ma'am,Ma left before I came in"said the boy
."But"protested the worker, thinking that surely she would have to intervene in this obviously dire situation,"Are you never together as a family:???
"Yes Ma'am,but not here!!This is the outhouse!!

The social worker probably didn't know what the moon cutout in the outhouse stood for. The moon stood for womanhood and that was for women at that time. As time passed and the men's outhouses fell into disrepair and eventually the same outhouse was used by both sex's.

*********************************************
Years ago I did high speed internet support for a company (Adelphia) and I covered the West Virginia area.
Sometimes the person I was helping had to go outside the trailer house so their cell phone would work.
I would give them instructions to do on their computer and they would go back inside to the computer and
have to come back outside to talk to me.

One old gentleman I was helping knew nothing about computers so I asked him: "Sir is there someone
there who knows more about computers than you do who I can talk to"?

I heard him holler Ma Come Here
But they were good friendly people.
