Joel chapter 2

Verse 1 - 2

A day with the lord is like a thousand years to man. I hope this means there will be a national repentance, a return to the old way. We need creative analysis and objective appraisal. This is not the end.. There are generations that come later.

Verse 3 - 11

These people ruin the lives of those that trust them. They pride themselves on the lies they tell that you believe. But all satan desires is to steal, kill, and destroy, and he is the father of lies. John 8:44 When the end result is stealing, killing, or destruction, satan is behind the process. Don’t believe the lies. Ask yourself what was the end result. You know a tree by it’s fruit. They hold us to a standard different than they hold themselves. A republican governor of a state commits adultery on his wife in a hotel in another country and he is removed from office with republicans leading the charge. A democratic president of the United States commits adultery on his wife in the oval office and it becomes a republican plot to remove a sitting president. They are entering houses through television. Because of television, we no longer respect men and the concept of family has been destroyed.

Verse 12 - 20

We go to church to praise and worship God. We should go to learn of Him and what we should do to please Him. We should repent and apologize to God for allowing the government to legalize drugs, abortion, and same sex marriage. We should repeal every law passed by the supreme court. The courts can only enforce law, it cannot pass law.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Verse 20 seems to say these leftist ideas will run their course and their actions will be exposed and rejected.

Verse 21 - 27

Behind everything we do you can add a big so what. All the loss caused by leftist ideas will not be remembered when good ideas prosper our lives. God will never forsake Israel. One day all of the children of Jacob shall return to the Middle East.

Verse 28 - 32

This is quoted by Peter in Acts 2:17 - 21. They weren’t accused of being drunk because of how they were speaking but what they were saying. If you tell everyone that God’s word is true and should be obeyed, some will say you are drunk or high.
