Joel chapter 1

Verse 1

How do we know the bible is the word of God? It says so in many places. Most religious books try to control your behavior. The bible gives God’s rules for how society should behave and gives the consequences or rewards for certain behaviors. Read Proverbs. Joel is undated and describes the fifth event.

Verse 2

At the time of this writing, it was prophetic, now it is historic. The mindset and mentality of people has changed. Family values are a thing of the past. Homosexuality used to be a mental disorder. The civil rights movement has been taken over by a bunch of weirdoes. We used to stay married for the sake of the children. Now the welfare of the children is secondary to the parents happiness. Ironically, the parents expect the children to treat them like they treated their parents. Our parents bled and died to change Jim Crow laws. We let the government legalize drugs, abortion, and same sex marriage.

Verse 3 & 4

Both of these describe four generations. Verse four describes four generations of parasites. Most people go to church for what they can get instead of what they can give. We are the parasites.

Verse 5

Life is more enjoyable if adult activities are postponed until adulthood is reached. Teenagers that practice adult activities before adulthood make a mess of their lives. Many institutions exploit the gullible.

Verse 6

We are looking for a foreign invasion. The way we think is completely foreign to how our parents were raised. If I had told my father I was thinking of doing what is normal for today, that I was going to have sex with as many women as I could, but not take care of my children, he would have shot me. We used to have shotgun weddings. Leftist are disgusting. They are for abortion, drugs, and same sex marriage and against anything decent. Their leader will be the same but he will hide his true intentions

Verse 7

He will try to destroy this nation inside and out. He will encourage lawlessness and disrespect for authority, while opening our borders to foreigners. If you remove the outside bark from a tree, it is prone to disease.

Verse 8 - 13

Instead of going to church to worship, sing and dance, we should apologize to God for electing a government that legalized drugs, abortion, and same sex marriage. Things could have been so much better.. We were the most prosperous nation in history. We are destroying the nation our forefathers died for. We abandoned the old way and the new way ain’t working. The old way was working, we should have left it alone.

Verse 14 - 20

Read the 6th chapter of Matthew. Churches don’t do anything the way Jesus said they should be done. Fasting, praying, and giving should not be public. They should between us and God alone. We sing, praise, and worship when God’s word should be taught chapter by chapter and verse by verse. That way we can learn what actions please God or at least how to avoid God’s disfavor. The day of the Lord is rapidly approaching. The day of the Lord is mentioned many times in the bible.
