There are actually a good number of opinions as to the mystery Babylon is, including Mecca, however none of them fit the biblical description the way the United States does and at least three fourths of the YouTube videos, of which there are many, say that it is the United States. Here is one of those videos and this one goes into serious examination and speculation as to just what that judgment will be.

No, Babylon was a City/Nation that became an empire, defeating and accumulating into it the Assyrian Empire, as well as many small countries around it, such as Judah, since Israel was already defeated and had been accumulated into the Assyrian Empire. This is just as Rome was, originally a City/Nation that later became an empire too, which was the normal evolution of powerful cities back in that time period of mankind's history (Carthage being another City/Nation that also became an empire in northern Africa, and which Hanibal, a supposed black man, ruled over and nearly defeated the Roman Empire, which when defeated by Rome, was destroyed and all it's land sewn with salt to prevent it from rising again and challenging the Romans, because that is how close they came to defeating the Romans, which scared the Romans who never again wanted a challenge or rebellion by the Carthaginians, so they completely destroyed their city, as thay also did Jerusalem).
