In one of my replies on the thread "Why Do You Think I Am Opposed to Conservatives," I inadvertently made a boo-boo. I stated that Ukraine was overwhelmingly Russian. What I meant to say is Crimea, (the part of the Ukraine that was annexed by Russia) is overwhelmingly Russian. NOT the entire country.

You may have NOT been too far off base the first time. I have a aquaintance who was born, raised and left the Ukraine as an udult. She was puzzled when I asked if Russia's annexation of Crimea was greatly concerning to Ukrainians. She said: "Why would you ask such a question? Ukrainians will always be Russian."
She may be an example of most people in/or near Russia. They really feel that they have no "say" in government, so, they ignore it....just live their lives "as best they can". Regardless of the fact that Ukraine is more/less a democracy.
