Were you aware that one can be taught to sing in harmonies with others. I learned it in HS but my Aunt married a Russian man and often, I would visit their home and listen to the entire family harmonizing. One must learn to listen "with two ears." That is by paying attention to one's own line while listening to the other(s). Evidently this was a common pasttime with Russians. It was fabulous. You can experience it every time you listen to any group playing together.

I have been spellbound by a capella. There is just something about human voices raised in harmony that is mood alteringly transformative and especially when performed by children.

I especially like acapella singing. I once heard a group in which each of the singers imitated a musical instrument. That was quite fascinating.
