Its not quite that simple. Ever heard the expression: consider the source. The credentials of a source are always important. Does the person have a long history of truth telling or are they, in fact, known as a liar.
Would Americans rely on Joseph McCarthy as a source of a news story...or would they have felt a story had more reliability if it came from Walter Cronkite?
I think we all know the answer to that one.
