Threats to our nation, threats on our President, North Korea, the Russian hacking (?) are all important and like most folks I have thought about these issues daily. But, I still have had time to ponder other things. I am sure you have too.

I have been thinking about OPP and its membership. With the latest "confession" of an OPP member (right before he put me on his ignore list) that they have two identities on OPP, I wonder just how many real people there are on OPP? I suspect that the real population is very small.... my guess, less than 100.... or dare I say it, about 30 people. I think the rest are Doppelgängers. How about you? Real or a Doppelgänger?

The second thing, again dealing with OPP and the ignore list. Why is it that people put you on their "ignore" list as if they see you as a nonperson, someone that they can certainly live without, yet they read your threads and provide feedback and comments? Does this strike anyone else as being more than dishonest?

Now tell me... aside from politics what have you been using your gray cells for?

I am real. At least as real as an 85 year old can be. I do not understand the "ignore" list. There are those whose threads I ignore, and I scan their responses on other threads. I did not come here to find people I agree with. I came to get another view point.

What do I use my gray cells for? Trying to survive in an alien environment. After a health problem I was told that I was mentally and physically unable to live by myself. I listed my house for sale. It sold in 3 days, but took about 4 months for the paperwork to clear. By that time, I disagreed with the diagnosis. I moved in with my son and daughter-in-law. Thanks to zoning, I could not add on enough space to their house. I ended up buying a house big enough for both of us for $20,000 more than the addition would have cost.

And, yes, my son lives in an alien environment; all brains and no common sense. I am blessed with the worlds greatest daughter-in-law.

------so me it is tough .i have a mother that has dementia & here lately she has gotten worse early friday morning @ 2;20 am she woke me up & was not acting right so i gave her a seroquel so got 2 more hours of sleep .so about 4:30 am she woke me up said she wanted me to call the cops or she would kill me ,so i did they came & took her to the hospital .so i tried to go to sleep but didnt got up walk my dog then got a call from the hospital they was talking about rape i didnt what what they was talking about .so when i was taking a kitten for his shots they called ,& she told me someone raped her & blah blah blah so they did a rape kit test & crap ..had to go pick her up so know a social worker is gonna come sometime ..so i am going to tell them her kitten did it cause he is the only one not neutered ..other than than no one came in the house ..so i do not need extra stuff to keep my mind on other than politics i got my mom to do that ..i would rather have something else than that though ......

One thing I have noticed, 3 things never seem to coincide... Time, energy, and money
I find I either have time and energy, but no money.
Energy and money, but no time.
Or time and money and no energy.

Yes, that sums it up. Most of my time is consumed by work, so That I can feed and support three on the edge of adulthood kids. Two in college. On days that I make a delivery, I get to go out, and spend my money, spend some time with my daughters , then start a new batch to sell. I work in my basement so , I periodically check this forum. I'm real , pretty boring and sometimes so busy I forget what day it is.I found this forum during the election, but find I am becoming bored with the lefts nonsense. Their song never changes, as if to repeat a thing makes it true. I am discourage to find that there are so many willing to march to the socialist drum. Stupid, evil or just brainwashed?

Pennylynn, last time I checked, I was real. Don't understand aliases, although you ladies have to approach things differently, and I concur with that. I use my real name, as I have found nothing and no one to be scary since my service.
I have none of the great generation left in my family, but am blessed with a wonderful wife, and 2 siblings( which at times are not such a blessing), and a wonderful, smart daughter. My gray matter at this point is used for pleasing my better half, and presently building a "barndominium" as a home base for our travels and for our later years. Try to think ahead at this point, as I have done plenty of "living in the moment". Think a lot more as I get older about how I can integrate my religion into my daily life.Don't get me wrong , I am no angel. But I do believe in treating folks fairly until they give me reason not to.
Think about all the good people we have met on our 4 year trek around this great country in our 5th wheel and dually, and how I look forward to seeing them again.
Think a lot about how blessed I am to be a part of the freedom I enjoy. With all the problems we have, it is still the best place in the world to live. Guess I 'm just an old softy with 3 AR's and the ability to use them to max effect if need be.
Enjoy OPP as it gives me a lot of opinions and even more chuckles. Reminds me there are many opinions out there.

Looks like there are fewer real people on OPP than I thought! My thanks to the people who responded and thank you so much for sharing. I guess I can emphasize with most folks.... we are just trying to meet each day with as much good spirit we can manage. Keep your chin up, we are facing the same issues that those who have now been long gone and tomorrow will only bring more of the same!

Boy, now that is a grocery list (or it a laundry list?) that boggles the mind!
Who keeps a laundry list anyway? You have lights, and darks, you put em in the machine with a couple of those detergent thingys, and push go. When it stops making noise, you put em in the other machine, and press go. Don't forget the dryer sheet! Everything is so complicated!
