Upcoming Decisions by the Supreme Court

In my feed this morning, I happened to notice an article in the LA Times saying that the Supreme Court, which is now perceived as right-leaning, will be making some big decisions in the next month. I thought, "OK, here we go". Then I read some of the cases that will be decided and I was relieved to see that these are some of the most ridiculous cases over which I would actually recommend conservative decisions anyway.

For instance, that stupid wedding cake in Colorado. How did this case even GET to the Supreme Court? This is about a baker that refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple. So, the baker has a stick up his ass about gay marriage, but ya know what? IT's HIS damned business! He should be able to refuse business to anyone he wants and the gay couple can always find some other baker. I'm sure there are people that wouldn't mind baking a cake for a gay wedding.

Another case they will be deciding is whether or not the NFL football team, the Redskins can keep their name. Good Lord. What is the problem with naming a sports team the Redskins? The name is not derogatory... Fan's wouldn't adorn themselves in sweatshirts and hats if the name was derogatory and just for the record, there is also a team called the Vikings, which is no less an ethical reference... where's the outrage about that? Now, I totally stand behind the Native Americans at Standing Rock because the protesting there is among other things an effort to protect the water they depend on from the threat of industrial contamination, but to bitch about a football team calling themselves the "Redskins"... who is that really hurting?

You won't hear this from me often, but I'm actually looking forward to some conservative decisions on these frivolous cases.

I usually do make sense... it's just that people have forgotten that nonsense isn't the same thing as disagreement. ;)
