Russia meddling and spying is a carry over from the cold war. Their economic interests are in direct opposition to ours and this alone makes it necessary to deal very carefully with anything Russian. No one is proposing to ignore any suspicions of Russian interference or investigations into that topic. Assigning guilt to the President and his subordinates before there is a proven crime is not tolerable. Criminal investigations should not be carried out in the glare of partisan media,; it does nothing but disrupt the conduct of the nation's business.

The president proposed an agenda when he was campaigning and that agenda resonated with most of the nation. He has been thwarted in implementing that agenda by spurious leaked allegations of unproven charges coming from the agencies that should be keeping their mouths shut. What is happening is not uncovering and punishment of criminal activity, it is political sabotage.

We have a plethora of proven criminal activity on the part of the previous administration, which has gone unindicted and unpunished. Yet, we spend endless hours and money pursuing rumors and anonymous allegations
of activity which in most cases is not a crime.

You tar with a broad brush. Lumping the current Russian boondoggle with opposition to the murder of innocent prenatal children and the desire for an equitable system of supporting those who can't work, while preventing freeloaders from getting a free ride is mixing apples and oranges. Domestic issues mixed with international problems. You basically have swallowed the kool-aid of the progressive/communists -- everything is free, we only need to take it from bloated capitalists. Children are a burden but you shouldn't practice any restraint because that is a violation of your "right" to use your body in any way you like. True, except when you want me to pay for your "right".
