Really good satire is a honed skill and should be able to scratch the funny bone in just about anybody. This failed that test. Trump deserves to be caricatured for his reckless belligerence but this was a bridge too far. Obama was subject to worse but that does not excuse bad timing and poor taste. Aren't liberals expected to be above that?

A) - Kathy Griffin's tasteless stunt was pure satire. Hardly a call to action as were Trump's calls to violence. The major difference is that Trump's supporters actually seemed to feel his admonitions were justified and, on some occasions, actually tried to implement them. No one with a brain would think that KG was actually calling for the beheading of our president, certainly not anyone I know.
B) Kathy Griffin has already stated her judgement was poor and that she crossed a line. She apologized. Is the right trying to ruin her because of her gaff? The comments here certainly seem to indicate so. When Trump's salacious misogynistic statements about how to treat women were revealed he gave the weakest of apologies and then proceeded to deflect, trying to put the focus on Bill Clinton's affairs (which were certainly more consensual, if coercive, than what Trump stated he was entitled to)
