To me, this man, Sheriff Joe Arapio, is one of the most honest, most straight-shooting politicians (sheriffs are elected, right?) to have ever offered a suffering America a fresh breath of honesty and directness one would associate with an intelligent cop.

So, Sheriff Joe.. you would definitely be welcomed up here in Northern NYS, the FREE. LIBERTY-LOVING part of NY.

I have shamelessly used the names of Arpaio, Trump, Palin as indicators at social gatherings. If in doubt as to the maturity level of person I am speaking with, I find an opportunity to drop one of those names- Reagan works also- and then I watch the response. If the lip curls and the fangs come out, I usually smile and move on.

As far as Sheriff Joe goes, he was the best thing for this cockeyed county.,However, the new guy is more in the line of our "Liberal" leaning residents. This used to be a typical conservative county of which has over time morphed into what we have today.
