Having tried a humanistic view,,, I can say the christian lifestyle is better and more conducive to civilization,,, The Cheyenne had a religion,,, but it was "tribal",,,,, and "tribalism" is not civil,,,,,,, I understood that even better when I went to war against the taliban,,, who are tribal,,,, that had an amazing influence on how I looked at the tribe,,, our actions, our stories, and our place in society now.........

Every other creature except man, does the perfect will of God because they cannot do otherwise. Pavlovian dogs were conditioned to respond to a stimulus but otherwise they remained dogs possessing the nature of dogs. Humans are the only creature who can make a free will choice to purposely choose evil or good. They can even make the choice to sacrifice their life to save another human life. No one, not even God can take away free will and it was a gift of love to humanity. You see, God does not desire unwilling slaves. You do not have to believe in God or free will, it's that ability to make a free will choice that allows you to do this. It is also a most powerful force because Satan and his legion of demons working on a man at the same time do not possess the power to force a man to violate his free will and do evil. Believe or deny, it's your choice.

And just to clue you in, I as well as many other Christians have had doubts in the past. It's only natural. I question my faith all the time. Well, 'question' is not the right word. I'll use what the Bible says. I believe it was the Apostle Paul who told Christians to test the Scriptures. I have done that over and over again. Because I'm a thinker. It only reinforces my faith. I go to atheists websites and read what they say, then I set out to disprove it. It's not hard to do. I believe in God because of the evidence. Dear sir. First of all, well spoken. To continue on the topic, the problem, as I see it, is that now-a-days most who call themselves "Christian" do not really believe that God really is GOD. They either do not know their bible or they have been deceived into believing a corrupted version and those who support their false doctrines out of those 'versions'.
When the blind lead the blind, proverbially speaking, they all fall in the ditch.
An old cowboy saying goes like this. "It's very commendable to strive to get as close to the truth as possible. However, however close you get, it still is not the truth." Most of today's bible institutes teach that we no longer have God's exact word but rather that it has been lost and they (the professors of "Higher Criticism") are just now 'figuring' it out. "They just don't have all the facts in yet." (B)ut they do have a real close approximation that they will gladly sell you.
Do you think that Almighty GOD, for one minute, will let puny mankind, worms that we are, lose the very word that we will be judged out of? The one thing he values even above his own throne? That he spent 1600 years getting to us and then just let us go play with it and lose it like little mindless bratty kids?
I submit that if God really is GOD, than he is fully able to preserve his word.
When a person starts with the concept that God is\was unable to protect what he created than one will never become a true believer in Christ.
If you don't believe that the "Bible" you hold in your hand is not the pure truth from God, how can you call yourself a Christian?
That's where salvation starts.
So how does that apply to today's situation?
Islamic ideology is a direct frontal attack on Christianity and it's core values. But Islamic ideology is not Christianity's only enemy.
Pay close attention to today's political mess and it quickly becomes apparent that the leftest movement is all out trying to destroy our constitutional rights and freedoms. And whats worse is they are recruiting the Islamic movement to assist them.
This didn't catch God by surprise. And he told us how its all going to turn out. More over he has made a way of escape through Jesus Christ our Lord. Its right there in that Bible. (If you've got the real word of truth.) And how do you know if you do? Go look. It's that simple.

OR,,, those people are superficial christians,, perpetually in the "seeker" phase,, and never grow out of it,,,, many churches and in fact Pastors/preachers,, et al,, are stuck there also,,, they have a good sales pitch,,, and nothing behind it,,,,

I realized that, when I was "seeking",,,, and I thought to myself,, "Nothing really happened,,, I am no different",,, I got into an "Older Bible Study Group",,,, where I was a punk kid,,,, when those old farts read a passage,, i was amazed what they pulled out,,,, I sure didnt read it, the way they did..... They were no longer "seeking God",,,, they had found him,,, and study his word to understand more and more....strangely enough,, ,the scriptures speak to you differently with age and experience...

One old woman,,, was a no kidding believer,,,, no question,,,,in her mind,, (I always thought she was kind of dumb) but I would trade all my education,,, for her ability to devote herself,,, and do as God tells her,,,,,,,,,,, I still screw it up sometimes,,, sometimes on purpose,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,


Get out of the seeker phase,, and the worst symptom of "seeker-ism" is the statement "I dont feel any different",,, or "the people around me arent good christians"
