President Trump is taking quite a bit of friendly fire this week for what many are calling his first official flip-flop.

During the presidential campaign, Trump was unequivocally against DACA, Obama’s policy allows illegal immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as children to stay.

He went so far as to declare he’d undo it on day one.

But this week that plan came to an end as Trump revealed he’s okay with it because it’s a ‘case of the heart’.

He went to explain that his goal to get rid of the criminal aliens as a priority.

Illegal aliens who crossed the border as children don’t have to worry about being sent home, President Donald Trump told the Associated Press in a Friday interview.

Illegals enrolled in the President Barack Obama’s “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” DACA program can “rest easy,” Trump said, because “this is a case of heart.”

Federal enforcement agencies are “not [going] after the ‘dreamers,’ we are after the criminals,” he said, using the Democrats’ ‘dreamer’ euphemism for young illegal immigrants. “That is our policy,” he added.

The Friday comments confirm Trump’s reversal of his 2016 campaign promise to stop the DACA quasi-amnesty created by Obama during his 2012 reelection campaign. He created the program in 2012 by telling his immigration enforcement officers to provide young illegals with free work permits instead of repatriation orders. The program has allowed at least 770,000 illegal immigrants to find jobs in major U.S. cities, even though tens of millions of Americans outside the cities are unemployed or have given up trying to find work.

Since his inauguration, Trump’s deputies at the Department of Homeland Security have awarded new work permits to illegals who claim they arrived before age 16, despite Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” slogan.

Trump’s support for the DACA program is one of his biggest “flip-flops,” said Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies. “During the campaign, now-President Trump had said he was going to end that on day one because it’s an unconstitutional action by the president,” Krikorian told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Friday.

atomikmom-although it is viewed as a flip-flop it is really the right thing to do. These people did not have a choice
in coming to America illegally. As long as they are not criminals and a drain on our resources, I believe they should be allowed to stay. Let us get rid of the criminals, followed by those who are living off the taxpayers, get a handle on our visa overstays, then deal with the remaining ones. We have to separate campaign talk with reality. There are many here who contribute to our society so we have to be realistic and separate the wheat from the chaff. It will take a long time to sort it all out but it can be done. Implement the E Verify system nationwide and a lot of our
problems will be resolved as people will leave of their own accord. However, before we get rid of the people who do not mind doing dirty work, we must ensure that the lazy butts who are able-bodied ,and on welfare, are required to work for what they receive. Americans have become extremely lazy due to too many programs which pay them more to stay home than to work. America First !!!

Illegals are trespassers, there is no 2 ways about it, and where they came from, they should follow the American Laws!!!!, like it or not. Let us try sneaking into their Countries, and we would be shot at sight, and put into the Slammers.Jail.They make us follow their Laws, with Legal Documents, so why should they not follow ours? There are pressures behind these. President Trump is lured by some political correctness, using human compassion. Now Hannity and O'Reilly might be decapitated in their factual reports, and their input about the right and the wrong are gone.
I hope president Trump won't forget his promises to the American people. The people voted for him on those promises.

It was reported president Trump will be visiting Rome. The president will also meet with Pope Francis. Right now, Pope Francis has asked all Catholics to DONATE money to welcome and support all Islamic refugees coming to the US. The funds collected will also be used to feed all illegal aliens coming to the United States, and those hiding in the sanctuary cities. He supports open borders, demanding that US provide bridge for those people coming to the US from all over the world. This is called Christian compassion. Love they neighbor as thyself. And know who are our neighbors. It is in the Holy Bible.

But Jesus also said to His people. Mathew 7:15
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly ... they are ferocious wolves. He said to him, "I also am a prophet like you, and an angel spoke to me by ... they will be granted a little help, and many will join with them in hypocrisy". ... Matthew 16:6,11.

I am afraid that president Trump might be persuaded by the Pope to welcome all Islamic refugees to the US for the sake of compassion. After meeting with the Pope, he might stop building the walls. We must also be aware the very objective of Islam, to invade the world all for Islam under Sharia Law.

There are Islamic powers all over the United States. Now they are in universities and colleges, in public schools, in government establishments, and even at the WH, and military under Mr. Obama. At the beginning, they pretend to be victims, and pretend to be helpless, thus the Pope wants to help them. But as soon as they are strong to win, they strike the ones who feed them.

At present Europe is almost there. France has the highest Muslim population in Europe, Germany is second, then England. Sweden is also populated. The rest of European countries are all loaded with Islam population.

I hope and pray president Trump will not be carried away by deceivers who later on will destroy us.

PeterS-totally wrong. What people want is what is considered fair and just. As for DACA , these kids were brought
into the country by their illegal parents which in reality makes them illegal. However, as long as they are not criminals or do not depend on the taxpayers for their livelihood, they should be the last ones considered for deportation. We have our hands full finding and deporting criminals, followed by those who are dependent on our government for their existence. If they cannot fend for themselves they need to go back where they came from. Many of the DACA group are contributing to our society and we can thus afford to let them stay until the rest of the problem is solved. In a year or two, once the criminal element is gone, we can address those who remain. Although many will disagree and view this as a broken promise, Trump is using good old common sense on this one. When presented with facts and evidence which contradicts his/her previous stance, the wise person is able to change his/her mind. I fully recognize that the democrats want to keep all illegals in the country as they constitute a large
segment of their voting bloc. That will be further evidenced when the democrats strenuously object to building the wall on our southern border. It is not about money, or the cost of the wall, but about future democrat voters. America First !!!

He needs the support of the voter and for more Self Serving Politicians to become Public Servants.

However, he seems to be caving in to unsatisfactory compromise just to get a "win".
