'Huffpo' Show Their True Colors (And It's Not Red, White, And Blue)

This is truly epic. In a Huffington Post blog post, some very, very disturbing ideas were disseminated:
"Some of the biggest blows to the progressive cause in the past year,” she writes, “have often been due to the votes of white men.” She gives examples. “If white men were not allowed to vote, it is unlikely that the United Kingdom would be leaving the European Union, it is unlikely that Donald Trump would now be the President of the United States, and it is unlikely that the Democratic Alliance would now be governing four of South Africa’s biggest cities."
The problem is obvious. White men. Without those 'privileged', 'franchised' white men, poking their big noses into political issues, progressivism would rule. The solution? Just as zany:
"If white men no longer had the vote,” Garland summarily states, “the progressive cause would be strengthened.” She’s quick to underscore that she is proposing nothing more than “the denial of the vote to white men for 20 years (just less than a generation),” for this is all that it would take to “go some way to seeing a decline in the influence of reactionary and neo-liberal ideology in the world."
Becoming more and more incredulous, I read on: Denying white men the vote, even if temporarily, would “strike a blow against toxic white masculinity, one that is long needed.” Oh! Snap!
Reading down the page, my mind is working on the things I'm going to need when some idiot, actually in a position of influence, tries to implement these ideas. That list was getting longer by the minute.
Then the kicker, the final straw: A person, a female, claiming to be the author of the piece referred to it as “total garbage” that she packed with clichés—“black and female-identifying bodies,” “patriarchy,” etc.—that are common currency among the “less sensible left.”
I didn't know whether to be amused or relieved. All-out war had just been averted, and the Huffington Post was punk'd in grand style, for all to see.
